Courses
are 1-3 days in duration and consist of both lecture and hands-on fire
drills. Lectures are held in the classroom at the store, with live fire
drills completed at the Birchwood Shooting Range. While on the range,
all students must adhere to the "Core Four".
Safety
The "Core Four" are the safety rules
of proper firearm handling enforced 100% of the time, every time,
at Alaska Tactical and Security Inc. which include, but are not limited
to, the following four essential core safety rules (Failure to fully
observe all safety rules, particularly the "core four" will result
in the dismissal of the student without delay or refund.)…
- All guns are always loaded.
- Never let the muzzle cover anything
you are not willing to destroy.
- Keep your finger off the trigger
until your sights are on the target and you have decided to shoot.
- Be sure of your target as well as
the surroundings and beyond.
Requirements
A current permit to carry a concealed
weapon or a State of Alaska background check is required to attend
