This 3 day carbine course will introduce the participant to the fundamentals of defense and marksmanship with a select fire carbine, caliber 5.56 (.223 Remington) focusing on when to utilize the application of full auto fire. The participant will learn the following: marksmanship and safety issues; how to zero their weapon; instruction on malfunction clearances; various firing positions; use of cover and barricades; weapon transitions; and using and applying the full auto mode. Instruction will also be provided on multiple threat and no-shoot situations.
Successful completion of the Defensive Handgun Course – Level 1 is preferred but not mandatory. Students must have either a valid Alaska Concealed Carry Permit, provide current military or law enforcement identification, or have obtained a State of Alaska background check prior to participating in this training.
